Thank You, Mom {Happy Mother’s Day}

Being a Mom is hard.

you saw that coming. right?

But, it comes with rewards too.

you saw that coming too, right?

Yes, its hard to be a Mom, to be a parent, training little minds. It comes with all sorts of challenges. It’s mind boggling. Anything from Power struggles, Tantrums, Encouragement, Teaching manners, Transitions, Constantly wishing and hoping for the best for them, and if you have more than one child, you become a referee for sibling rivalry.

Although I have daily struggles coming to terms with the fact that I may not do my best every day, and yes I fail, I know at the end of the day, in my children’s eyes, I am their everything. And they are undoubtedly my greatest adventures. My dearest treasures.

These things, I know for a fact, because I have observed. It’s that simple. I have looked up to my Mom for (almost) 28 years. From the moment I was born, I was loved. She has mended my heart (many times) and showed me what it feels like to be loved, and to love. She has taught me to be brave, be humble and kind. She allowed me to be her best friend, and confide in her, and form an unbreakable bond. When I became a mom, she gave me confidence and taught me everything I know about motherhood, and everything I do for my kids, I do with a heart that she has molded.

For that, I am thankful.

Happy Mother’s day Mom, you are my pillar of strength and I am incredibly blessed to be your daughter.

Your daughter, Leigh
